Key Risks: Prior to and during commencement of the works numerous activities/hazards were identified which required mitigating including addressing: –
- Demolition of existing 1970 stands.
- Construction works and earthworks near the canal, changing site levels.
- Existing buried services and utilities diversion.
- Works close to or within existing occupied buildings.
- General construction activities.
- Temporary stability of steel frame and construction sequence – specifically roof.
- Installation of large glazing panes.
- Protection of vulnerable areas of building from vehicle damage.
- UXO risks.
Comments: SBA were appointed by the Client during the design phase of the project and remain the appointed Principal Designer. The works are due to complete in December 2020.
